Bread Upma

Ingredients

              5-6 bread slices ; 1 large onion ,chopped, 1 medium tomato chopped; ½ tbsp oil; 1tsp mustard seeds; 2-3 green chillies chopped; ½ cup boiled  peas;  1tbsp almonds; 5-6  curry leaves; 200ml water; a pinch of asafetida; salt and pepper to taste.

Method

1.      In a casserole ,take ¼ tbsp oil and roast crumbled bread pi eces on HIGH power for 3-4 minutes. Till they turn pink in colour, keep on stirring.

2.      Take another bowl and pour ¼  oil and heat  on HIGH power for 50 seconds. To this add asafetida , mustard seeds , curry leaves and microwave on HIGH power for  2minutes.

3.      Now add onion , peas, chillies, tomatoes  and cook on HIGH  for 2 minutes.

4.      Lastly add water , roasted crumbled bread , almonds, salt,pepper. Cook on HIGH power for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve with pudina  chutney.
